Meet the team

A team that works together, and knows each other well.

Every pet that comes through our doors is cared for by the same faces at the front desk, in the exam room, and in treatment.

DVM · practicing since 2009 · Special interest in soft tissue surgery and dentistry

I started Nolan Hill Veterinary Hospital because I wanted NW Calgary to have a place where pets and their families feel truly cared for. What I love most about this job is simple: healing pets, easing their pain, keeping them healthy and watching that bond between an animal and their family grow stronger along the way. I’m passionate about every part of what I do, but I have a special interest in soft tissue surgery and dentistry, and I feel privileged to care for any pet that walks through our doors.

Outside of the clinic, I’m a devoted mom to two children, Daija and Dez, and three dogs: old man Milo, Brixx the bully, and my rambunctious youngest, Helix. I spend my free time traveling, raising my two kids, and helping women build financial literacy. Whatever brings you and your pet through our doors, I’m invested in getting the outcome right, together.

Wendy
Practice Manager

Born and raised in Quebec, I eventually made my way to beautiful Vancouver Island, where I discovered my passion for the veterinary industry. In 2021, my family and I moved to Calgary, Alberta, and in 2022, I joined the incredible team at Nolan Hill Vet with Dr. Danielle Rowe. I started as a receptionist and, through hard work and dedication, worked my way up to Practice Manager, a role I truly love. I feel incredibly grateful to be part of such an amazing team.

One of the best parts of my job is meeting our wonderful clients and their beloved fur babies.

When I’m not at the clinic, you’ll find me spending time with my amazing husband and our three wonderful kids, usually out on our next adventure together.

Client Care Specialist

I started working at Nolan Hill Veterinary Hospital in 2024, and it was one of the best decisions I've made. I love coming to work and getting to meet all the wonderful furry friends that walk through our door. Whether they're here for a routine check up, or a big surgery day, I love making sure every pet feels as comfortable, safe, and loved as possible.

When I'm not at work, I have plenty of furry companions of my own. I'm kept busy at home with two dogs, two cats, and a bunny, so life is always a little bit chaotic, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Outside of work and my pets, I love anything that lets me be creative. I'm an avid reader and writer, and also enjoy relaxing with crafts like cross-stitch and painting.

Registered Veterinary Technologist
RVT · Olds College

Hi! I’m Lauren, a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT). I graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Olds College in late 2022 and joined the Nolan Hill Veterinary Hospital team in the spring of 2023. I love getting to know our clients and their pets while helping make every visit as stress-free and positive as possible.

At home, I have two dogs who keep life entertaining: a Chihuahua named Falkor and a Yorkie named Ruby. If you’re lucky, you might even catch them at the clinic, where they tend to act like they own the place!

When I’m not caring for animals, my biggest passion is live music. I’ve been to more than 180 concerts over the past 20 years, and I’m always looking forward to my next show.

Registered Veterinary Technologist
RVT · Thompson Rivers University

I graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Thompson Rivers University in 2019 and have been loving every moment of my career as a Registered Veterinary Technologist in general practice since.

I moved here from BC a year ago, and I’m beyond grateful to have found Nolan Hill Veterinary Hospital as my new work family in September 2025.

I have a soft spot in my heart for senior pets and, of course, orange cats. When I’m not at the clinic, you can find me camping and enjoying the outdoors, or crocheting stuffies.

Daija
Veterinary Technologist Assistant

Hi! My name is Daijalyn, and I’m currently a high school student with a big passion for animals and veterinary medicine. I’m so grateful to be working as a Veterinary Technical Assistant, where I get to learn something new every day while helping care for animals. Whether I’m preparing exam rooms, assisting the veterinary team, restraining patients, or helping with lab work, I love being part of a team that makes a difference in the lives of pets and their families.

Growing up with my mom, Dr. Rowe, I’ve always been surrounded by veterinary medicine, which inspired my love for this field from a young age. At home, my biggest supporter is my dog, Brixx, who reminds me every day why I chose this path. I’m excited to keep learning, building my skills, and one day becoming a veterinary technician so I can continue caring for the animals I love.

Veterinary Technologist Assistant
Bow Valley College

I am a recent graduate from Bow Valley College, where I learned veterinary assisting and reception skills for veterinary hospitals. I found my place here at Nolan Hill Veterinary Hospital as a practicum student, but I’m here to stay! I love meeting all of the patients that come into the treatment area and creating a positive experience for them. My goal is to go back to school in a few years to become an RVT!

I have a toy poodle named Simba, a cat named Miso, and many fish. I also like keeping spiders and would like to own a gargoyle gecko one day! I am very passionate about other animals such as fish, reptiles, and insects. Simba often comes to the clinic with me, where he spends his time sitting in his box.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy crafting. I mostly crochet and make jewelry but am always up to something new!
